Bisexual Awareness
As we embark on another LGBTQ History Month, it’s incredibly important that we remember our role in the ongoing narrative of our uniquely special population. It’s up to us as queer folks to continue to uplift and welcome all members of our community whose own personal history is now tied to our collective movement.
And honestly, it’s quite wonderful knowing that Bisexuality Awareness Week leads straight into this month-long celebration. While some (both allies and queer people, alike) continue to have questions about this identity, the truth remains that bisexual individuals deserve a safe space to explore their authentic selves without feeling the need to constantly serve as educators. But, I was incredibly grateful to speak to two out and proud bi+ writers–Alex Berg and Zachary Zane–about what bisexuality looks like to them and how their journey is both personal and political today.
