Melissa Barrera is a Mexican actress and singer. She is known for her roles in the telenovelas Siempre Tuya Acapulco, and Tanto Amor, and currently starring in VIDA as Lyn Hernandez, a women who moves back home to Boyle Heights, Los Angeles after the death of her mother. Melissa will also star as Vanessa in the 2020 film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights.
